JOHN D. CAREY, CPA
Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management

John, as Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management, has responsibilities in the asset management, acquisitions and finance areas. Prior to joining the Hutensky Group, John enjoyed a 17-year career at CIGNA Investments, Inc. with experiences across many areas in the real estate division, including positions as a managing director in originations and a vice president in both the acquisitions and asset management departments. John also served as president of CIGNA Financial Partners, a CIGNA company, that oversaw 13 real estate limited partnerships with more than 20,000 investors. John established and executed portfolio strategy, produced periodic investor communications, managed investor relations, and oversaw financial reporting functions. Prior to joining CIGNA, John was an audit manager at KPMG and a member of its real estate focus group. He earned a B.S. from Central Connecticut State University. John is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Real Estate Finance Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
