MICHAEL J. CUBETA, JR.
Senior Vice President, Leasing

Michael Cubeta is responsible for directing all leasing activities including liaison with outside brokers. He is also responsible for developing and maintaining all anchor relationships. Michael uses his many national, regional, and local retail contacts in conjunction with prospecting and cold calling to successfully lease shopping centers. Michael has previously served in the capacity of project manager, responsible for the development of a number of office buildings and shopping centers. Before joining the company in 1984, Michael, a cum laude graduate of the University of Hartford, served for two terms as mayor and chief executive officer of the City of Middletown, Connecticut, leading the community through a period of unprecedented economic growth. Michael served as chairman of the Middletown Police Station Building Committee and is also a corporator of Liberty Bank and Middlesex Hospital. He is a member of the Greater Middletown Community Corporation, the Russell Library Company, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He previously served as chairman of the board of the Connecticut Interlocal Risk Management Agency and as vice president of the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities. He is a licensed real estate broker in Connecticut and New York.
